This is the oldest surviving vehicle and was a Gate Guardian in Winchester.
It is complete in most respects and moves under its own power.
It is currently undergoing restoration.

Restored by Roy Elvis in the 1980’s and once again by Shaun in 2011. A good job was done as the vehicle won best British Armour at the W&P show in 2011.

This car was a gate Guardian for many years in Winchester, it is made up of an a number of ex Sennybridge range wrecks and is stripped of almost all mechanical parts and has a dummy gun mantlet.

This vehicle was delivered ex-WD storage late 74 early 75 complete with all equipment locked away in the side bins, radio fitted as were the optics vehicle documentation and manuals. Missing items of note included the drivers back strap, main armament shoulder stock and the operating leaver and catch from the gunners viewing scope, the gun site was located in the transit position under the main armament. The jack fitted to the wing while of the correct type was found to be a wooden replica. On delivery the vehicle required its tyres replacing, a full mechanical check and service, silver paint removed from all the instruments two 6-volt batteries fuel, oil, coolant, it started and drove very well. This vehicle was a frequent display item until its re-paint mid eights prior to being installed in the Lambeth Museum.

This car has be built using mechanical gear taken from an engineers demonstration chassis, and so the mechanical condition is expected to be excellent. The hull was obtained from the Kirkudbright firing range.

This car was quite literally dug out of a field in Normandy (France).
It is odd that the car was found complete with a set of Panther tank wheels!

Armoured car in Elephant Pass, Sri Lanka.
This picture was taken some years ago and it suspected that after the tsunami in 2000 it is probably at the bottom of the Indian Ocean!

Due to political reasons it is illegal to export items of military purposes from this country, so it is unlikely that these cars will be saved.

The vehicles shown on this page are the only known cars out of the 2694 produced.
There are perhaps another 20 vehicles worldwide in a state of great disrepair or existing as badly damaged range wrecks.
It is very unlikely that many more cars will be found and restored.

It is rumoured that there are 4 or 5 cars in NZ but that most have been substantially modified for use as agricultural vehicles

The car is badged up as F207829 which was a car used by the 2HCR in 1944.
However the cars identity is not proved.
It is thought to be made up of an a number of ex Sennybridge range wrecks and is stripped of almost all mechanical parts and has a dummy gun mantlet.

A car converted for local agricultural use that will make an interesting project for its owner.
A replacement turret and other parts have been found and it now awaits restoration.
