Dingo and Daimler Armoured Car Spares
Finding consumables and spare parts for Daimler Dingo’s and Armoured cars is extremely difficult.
There are few parts suppliers and even obtaining consumables such as spark plugs, engine oil or tyres can be difficult as modern vehicles use entirely different components.
To help keep my own vehicles on the road, I have like most car owners simply bought almost every spare part found whilst at shows, militaria events, and classic car auto jumbles.
I now hopefully have enough parts for my vehicles and intend to try and use some of my items, knowledge and contacts to help other car owners. The restorations of a third Dingo is preventing me from dedicating much time toward sorting the spares. But of the following parts and services is planned for 2012-2013.

Reproduction door lock keys based upon originals sold as a set of two
Cork Rocker Cover gaskets £20.00.
Hand cut and finished rocker cover gasket using modern flexible
petrol oil resistant materials.
Dingo & Daimler Armoured Car light weight bonnets £300.00
Made with 1.5mm steel sheet and edged with 5mm flat bar to give the
appearance of the original bonnet. Easily removed by one person.
Fully welded construction and primed in red oxide ready for a top coat.
An Olive drab topcoat to BS829 can be provided if required.
Cylinder Head bolts. £5 each
We are currently looking at getting a new cylinder head bolts
remanufactured from high tensile steel. You will probably
need these when you fit a new head gasket!

Water Pumps for both Mk 2 & Mk 3 Dingo’s £100.00
I have a number of refurbished original army Dingo water pumps, these have
a longer shaft than the DB18 car engine to accommodate for the wider pulley wheel.
It is intended that these will be held on an exchange basis and can be dispatched
quickly after receipt of the owners leaky pump.

Daimler Armoured Car Brake Seal sets for Wheel Callipers £140 set of 8.
I have a set of specially made conversion brake seals that will allow the fitting of
Salidin pistons into the Daimler calliper.
The material used in the manufacture is compatible with hydraulic fluid as per
original specification.
Alternativly I can obtain replacement seals to match the original pistons but in
rubber resistant to DOT3 & DOT4 standard brake fluid. This allows the use of
land rover master cylinders to replace the original Qualcast master cylinders for
which seals are no longer available.
Set of 4 hoses with coil armouring.

All have been sand blasted and primed in red

Fuel Pump Diaphragms £25.00
Modern fuel with the addition of ethylene is known to attack the rubber in the fuel
Pumps so a spare is a wise investment.

Magnetic Number Plates £ 30.00 pair
Hand cut vinyl number plates on magnetic material that will stick to the front
and rear of your armoured car. Easily removed at shows top preserve that period
