Planned Events for 2012  

 

I am  planning to attend the following shows with one or the other of  my Daimlers, dependent upon the weather and mechanical condition of the cars.

Sadly I will need to limit the number of times the Daimler Heavy attends shows this year due to the cost of fuel, running at  4mpg (£1.50) per mile the costs soon mount up!

Daimler Fighting Vehicles - Where to see them

 

 

Most of the surviving Dingo & Armoured cars are in held by the collections of major museums and are statically displayed.

 

However a very small number are in private ownership and these can be seen as they were designed and intended, being moving active vehicles at various military shows throughout Great Britain.

The Imperial War Museum, London

A very well preserved example of a MK1 Daimler Armoured Car is displayed in the main entrance hall.

 

 

 

 

The Imperial War Museum, Duxford

This museum is primarily devoted to aviation but, a dingo and many other WW2 vintage vehicles are preserved in the land warfare hall.

 

 

 

 

 

The Tank Museum Bovington.

The Tank Museum is the museum of the Royal Tank Regiment & Royal Armoured Corps.   Both a dingo and Mk2 armoured car are statically displayed. In addition a mark one car is currently being restored as a fully working vehicle for use in the main arena.

 

 

 

Battlefront, East of England Military Museum

A Daimler armoured car and Dingo are among the vehicles that may be displayed.

 

 

 

 

The Cobberton Combat Collection

The collection includes both Mrk 1 and 2 armoured cars in addition to a Dingo.

Also there are a number of wrecks obtained from firing ranges displayed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Muckleburgh Collection

The collection includes both a Daimler armoured car and Dingo.
